The Kendall project was designed as a cozy, modern retreat for a busy family to unwind at the end of the day. The space seamlessly balances comfort, functionality, and style, while highlighting the room’s architectural beauty.

The centerpiece of the room is a stunning cast stone fireplace that replaces an outdated 1990’s brick surround and shiny brass firebox, immediately elevating the space. Custom-built cabinetry flanks the fireplace, offering both storage and an elegant design moment. To draw attention to the vaulted ceiling, we added faux beams and a stunning light fixture that introduce warmth and texture.

A palette of neutrals creates a calming, grounded feel, enriched by natural textures like suede, linen, marble, and thoughtfully placed greenery. Subtle tones of olive and burgundy in the accessories provide a sophisticated contrast, giving the room depth and personality.

This transformation honors the family’s vision for a modern living space, while breathing new life into the room’s architectural charm.
